The British Academy’s fellowship and award-holders represent breadth and excellence of expertise across these disciplines, and the Academy’s policy and research work is dedicated to applying that insight to policy issues for public benefit and societal wellbeing.

We bring independence, authority and objectivity to complex issues to enlighten the context, meaning and practicalities of challenges in public policy and the higher education sector.

International

We foster international collaboration in the humanities and social sciences, and promote the sharing of international perspectives on global challenges.
